Privacy Policy
Last updated June 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Wonder (“Wonder,” “we,” “us”), a personalized learning service operated by independent developers (the “Service”), collects, uses, and protects your information. By using the Service, you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: your email address (and, if you sign in that way, basic profile details from your sign-in provider), managed through our authentication provider. If you enable SMS delivery, the phone number you add.
- Learning preferences: the interests, topics, and settings you provide so we can personalize your articles, plus your time zone so we can schedule delivery.
- Usage & analytics: how you interact with the Service (pages viewed, articles read, features used), collected via analytics tooling. This includes session recordings — playback of on-screen interactions, with text inputs masked — used to understand and improve the experience.
- Payment information: processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store your full card number.
- Content: the articles generated for your account and your feedback on them.
2. How we use your information
- to generate and personalize your daily articles;
- to deliver the Service, including email delivery if you enable it;
- to process subscriptions and payments;
- to operate, secure, analyze, and improve the Service;
- to communicate with you about your account and the Service.
3. Service providers
We share information with trusted providers who process it on our behalf, only as needed to operate the Service:
- Clerk — authentication and account management;
- Convex — application database and backend;
- OpenAI — AI generation of article content;
- Stripe — payment processing;
- Resend — email delivery;
- Twilio — SMS delivery, if you enable it;
- Web push services — your browser or device’s push service (e.g. Apple, Google, Mozilla), if you enable push notifications;
- PostHog — product analytics and session recordings.
These providers are bound by their own terms and privacy commitments. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Email, SMS & push communications
If you enable email delivery, we send your daily article and occasional reminders (for example, before your free trial ends). You can turn email off anytime in your profile, and every email includes an unsubscribe option. We also send essential transactional messages related to your account and billing.
If you opt in to SMS, we text you a short teaser linking to each day’s article. Message and data rates may apply; reply STOP to any message to opt out, or turn SMS off in your profile. If you opt in to push notifications, we send a daily alert through your browser or device’s push service; you can turn push off in your profile or your device settings.
5. Data retention
We retain your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. You can delete your account and associated data anytime from your profile, which also cancels any active subscription; you may also request deletion by contacting us.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, email us at wkoverfield@gmail.com.
7. Cookies & tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.
Before you create an account, we store a randomly generated identifier in your browser so we can offer a sample article, prevent abuse, and link that preview to your account if you sign up. The prompt and interests you enter for a preview are stored with this identifier. You can clear it anytime by clearing your browser storage.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
